Silver house earrings: ready to go in the kiln. The roof will attach to the house with silver links once fired.
Silver frog v2: Success! Not yet polished, but definitely looks frog-like this time! He’s going in the tumbler now, while I think about how to turn him into a piece of jewellery…
Silver Metal clay frog: version 2 ready to go in the kiln tonight. V1 suffered a horrible death (kiln temp too high)… now just a frog blob.
Silver handbag pendant: Work in progress. The design is taken from my favourite bag, simplified and adapted to suit clay. The final version is currently in the kiln.
You can see here the original bag, my sketches, the initial form (moulded on cork clay to get the feeling of leather) and one stage of refinement (not the final stage!)
Silver guitar - work in progress. Listening to Rodrigo Y Gabriela whilst making a tiny silver clay guitar - lovely evening!
It looks huge here, but is less then 3” long. Lots of works to do on it yet, but off to a good start.
Silver flower pendant: Work in progress for Grandma Betty’s birthday. Made from Sterling silver precious metal clay.
Silver Bird House: Stage one. The front, sides and back are finished, and joined together. And the two birds are finished. Tomorrow… the roof and base.
