Silver house earrings: ready to go in the kiln. The roof will attach to the house with silver links once fired.
Silver flowers: ready to go in the kiln for first firing. Once fired, I’ll wrap them into a bunch. How? Now idea….
Sterling silver frog on slate: Finally I found him a home - on some slate from Blundell Sands. Perfect!
Silver frog v2: Success! Not yet polished, but definitely looks frog-like this time! He’s going in the tumbler now, while I think about how to turn him into a piece of jewellery…
Silver bird earrings: made to match the birdhouse I created earlier this year. Created from sterling silver precious metal clay.
Silver Metal clay frog: version 2 ready to go in the kiln tonight. V1 suffered a horrible death (kiln temp too high)… now just a frog blob.
Silver handbag pendant: Work in progress. The design is taken from my favourite bag, simplified and adapted to suit clay. The final version is currently in the kiln.
You can see here the original bag, my sketches, the initial form (moulded on cork clay to get the feeling of leather) and one stage of refinement (not the final stage!)
Silver guitar pendant - finished piece. 2.5” long.
Still learning to photograph silver - hence the many backgrounds. Which works best?
